Hello once again...
So today is an interesting day being new years eve and all and I have not one thing to do other than chill with my cousin, play drums on Guitar Hero World Tour and watch the boob tube... Yay...
But what I want to talk about isn't really about today or even what has happened today, but actually yesterday and what my friends and I did after bowling. After a horrible two rounds of lobbing a twelve pound ball down the signature lanes alley, we decided to hit up this small, Podunk pizza place called DaVincis tucked away between a liquor store and a car wash. Never really being there, I had no idea what to expect... good, bad, decent... tolerable. I didn't care. I was there to just hang out while watching the seconds on the clock drip like a broken faucet in dire need of repair. While we were there waiting for our order to go through I began to draw on the twice used paper place mats that we were given. For a while I lost myself in my abstract world once again, drawing everything from the cups on the table to my usual designs that have no true purpose other than to devour whomever was watching. As I got up to leave after paying the check and realizing how much time has passed, a friend asked if he could have the drawing. Me, being my usual self, I didn't see any potential in the drawing, where others saw something that I may not have.
The reason I tell you this story is because I find this happening to me more than just once in a blue moon. Although I feel that my brother is pushing this whole shirt business to get started asap, he sees potential in my work and that is what I now need to realize. Like I have mentioned... It is a journey and I can't wait to see where it goes.
